Prompt
Tell me about a time you could have taken a shortcut on schoolwork or a job and almost certainly would not have been caught. What did you decide, and would you decide the same way now?

How to approach this question
This question tests whether your honesty holds when nobody is watching, and whether you can look back at your younger self with clear eyes. Pick a real moment where the shortcut was genuinely tempting and the chance of being caught was close to zero, because a story with an easy choice shows the panel very little. Describe what was at stake for you, what you were weighing, and who would have been affected if you'd taken it. Then answer the second half honestly: if you'd decide differently now, explain what changed in how you think, and if you'd decide the same way, say why that reasoning still holds. Panel interviewers value candor about a near miss far more than a polished story of perfect academic integrity.
