Medical School List
Where you apply matters as much as how you apply. Scholr helps you build a balanced medical school list of reach, target, and safety programs, chosen around your GPA, MCAT, experiences, and residency status by mentors who've sat where you're sitting and former admissions evaluators who've read the files.
How It Works
Profile assessment
We map your full profile, from GPA and MCAT to clinical and research experience and residency status, so you can see exactly how competitive you are and where you stand.
School research and fit
Your mentor researches programs against your profile and goals, weighing mission fit, median stats, in-state advantage, and the factors that actually move an admissions decision.
Build your balanced list
Together we build a balanced list of reach, target, and safety schools, with enough range to protect your cycle without spending applications on schools that aren't a real fit.
Refine and finalize
We pressure-test the list against deadlines, secondary load, and budget, then finalize a strategy you can apply to with confidence.

Doctors Supporting Future Doctors

Results built on strategy, mentorship, and support.
We only take 300 students a year, so every one of them gets our full attention.

Most competitive applicants apply to 15 to 25 programs, balanced across reach, target, and safety schools. The right number depends on your stats, residency status, and how many programs are a genuine fit, which is exactly what we map out together.
A balanced list mixes reach schools (a stretch for your stats), target schools (where you're right in range), and safety schools (where you sit above the median). It's built around mission fit and your residency status, not rankings alone.
A few reach schools are worth it when there's genuine mission fit, but a list weighted only toward top-ranked programs is a common and expensive mistake. We help you aim high where it's realistic and anchor the list where you're truly competitive.
In-state residency matters a lot. Many public schools admit heavily or only in-state, so your state of residency is one of the biggest factors in where you're competitive, and we build it into your list from the start.
Ideally before secondaries open, usually the spring of your application year, so you can research programs and plan your secondary workload. We build your list early and refine it as your cycle takes shape.
