Dr. Parris Diaz is a resident physician and passionate mentor committed to guiding future physicians with personalized, experience-driven support. Dr. Lindsey Gorsch is an internal medicine resident at Yale University. She earned her MD from Columbia University, where she also served on the admissions committee, evaluating and ranking candidates for acceptance. During the application process, she received offers from several top medical schools, including Dartmouth and Washington University in St. Louis, among others. Dr. Kotha is a Radiation Oncology resident physician at Stanford University. He received his MD from University of California San Diego and his BSc in Biomedical Engineering from University of Southern California. With tutoring and mentoring experience for 10+ years, he has cultivated a passion for medical education highlighted by serving on medical school and residency admissions committees, along with conducting educational research in these domains. He is driven to utilize his experience to meet the individual needs of every student, as he strives to support and elevate them throughout their unique academic journey.

Dr. Wilkerson is a dermatology resident at Weill Cornell. She is originally from Sacramento, CA. She went to Stanford University for undergrad, majoring in Human Biology. She then took two gap years to work in healthcare consulting. She graduated from UCSF for medical school. She has extensive experiencing mentoring students. She was an advisor with the Phoenix Scholars program at Stanford, helping first-generation, low-income students apply to college. She then helped create the LMSA-SNMA Pre-Med Mentorship Program at UCSF during her time as SNMA president where she personally mentored dozens of students, helping them to achieve their goal of matriculating to medical school. She has helped students from all backgrounds achieve their dreams, including re-applicants and non-traditional students. She also served on the UCSF admissions committee as an interviewer. She loves to empower students to let their uniqueness shine in applications and to support them to make the application process less stressful.

Dr. Freeman is a resident in the Dermatology program at Northwestern. He completed his medical training at Washington University in St. Louis, and he was also accepted to five other prestigious medical schools in the US. Dr. Freeman has been helping undergrads on their premed journey for years, having previously worked as an MCAT tutor, an EMT preceptor, and in several admissions mentoring programs. He loves helping students overcome the barriers associated with applying to medical school.

Dr. Olamiju is a dermatology resident at Cornell-New York Presbyterian. She completed her training at Yale School of Medicine where she worked with the Yale Health Professions Advising Program to conduct mock interviews and review personal statements for applicants. Prior to medical school, she completed her bachelor’s at Columbia University where she served as President of the largest pre-medical community on campus. She values mentorship and enjoys providing guidance during the medical school application process.

Dr. Chang is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation resident at the University of Washington. He completed his training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he assisted the admissions committee in scoring MD applicants. He takes an individualized approach to mentorship and is committed to helping each applicant reach their unique goals.

Dr. Chung is a general surgery resident at the University of California–San Diego. She completed her bachelor’s at MIT, followed by her medical training at the Yale School of Medicine, where she served on the admissions committee selecting candidates for incoming medical classes. She also has extensive experience tutoring biology majors and pre-med students at MIT. Dr. Swetlik is the Neurology Chief Resident at the Cleveland Clinic. She received her BA from the University of Chicago and her MD/MS from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University (CCLCM). During her time at CCLCM, she interviewed applicants as an admissions committee interviewer, served on the student assessment committee, and taught communication skills courses. She has mentored numerous premeds from diverse backgrounds and loves to help applicants spotlight their unique strengths and experiences in each phase of the application cycle.

Dr. Torrez is an emergency medicine resident at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill. He received both his PharmD and MD from the University of Kansas, where he served as a peer mentor and tutor. In addition, he has experience with the admissions committee selection process from his training in Kansas. Dr. Torrez is eager to help students on their journey to medical school.

Dr. Maeda is an Internal Medicine resident at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. During her training, she reviewed applications and interviewed applicants for the medical school and its specialized tracks. As a premed mentor, she has extensive experience editing AMCAS applications and essays as well as tutoring the CARS section of the MCAT. She loves working with applicants and is eager to help students highlight their strengths and tell their unique stories.

Dr. Brandon Godinich is a Radiation Oncology resident physician at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He earned his MD from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine and holds graduate degrees in public health, business administration, and healthcare administration. With more than 1000 hours of tutoring, mentorship, and medical school admissions experience, he has supported hundreds of premedical students throughout the MCAT and application process. His background includes serving on medical school admissions and curriculum committees, conducting medical education research, and developing educational programs for medical students. He is committed to providing individualized guidance that helps each student strengthen their application, reach their academic goals, and approach the medical school admissions process with confidence.

Dr. Tarek Ghaddar (MD, MPH) is a first-year resident pursuing diagnostic radiology at the University of Miami. He has worked with premeds for about five years and has direct admissions experience, particularly as an interviewer. His research interests include epidemiology and AI in radiology. He works out, writes poetry, and plays piano in his free time.

Ellen is a medical student in the Pathways MD Program at Harvard Medical School. She earned her BA in Chemistry from Harvard College, where she served as an undergraduate pre-med advisor for the Harvard Mignone Center for Career Success and a teaching fellow in the Department of Chemistry. After graduating, Ellen worked as a healthcare consultant for one year before matriculating to medical school. Ellen is passionate about helping students develop an individualized plan for their application process, crafting a standout narrative, and successfully navigating a path to medical school.

Noah is currently a medical student at Yale School of Medicine. He earned his BS in Biology from Stanford University in 2021 before taking two gap years prior to starting medical school. He spent his first year as a research associate at an infectious disease lab in San Francisco before moving to Bogotá, Colombia where he spent his second year conducting a research internship at the major hospital, Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá. Noah has more than two years of experience as a pre-med advisor, having helped hundreds of students through the medical school admissions process. In his free time he likes to play the flute, write poetry, run, and do ceramics.

Emile is a medical student in the Pathways program at Harvard Medical School. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar, majored in Nutrition, served as a teaching assistant in Biology and Nutrition, and devoted much time to public health research. Following graduation, he worked as a clinical research coordinator to support projects on various diseases on the esophagus, large intestine, and liver. He thoroughly enjoys speaking with pre-medical students as they navigate educational pathways in the health world and refine their application to best present themselves as medical school candidates.

Alex Ha is a medical student in the UC Berkeley–UCSF Joint Medical Program MS/MD with a strong interest in climate change, environmental justice, and their impacts on human health. His academic work focuses on the health effects of wildfire smoke on inflammatory skin conditions and the structural inequities that shape exposure and disease risk. Alex is passionate about mentorship and enjoys supporting premedical students as they navigate academic pathways, application strategies, and career exploration, especially students from first-generation or nontraditional backgrounds.

Hannah is a medical student at Harvard. Over four years, she completed Brandeis University’s competitive BS/MS program in Neuroscience, alongside earning a BS in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. Her professional background includes two prestigious fellowships utilizing eye-tracking technology to identify early autism markers and measure intervention outcomes: the Donald J. Cohen Fellowship at the Marcus Autism Center and the Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship in India. As a Principal Investigator on two early intervention studies, Hannah has earned conference awards and co-authored multiple publications. The first in her family to pursue a professional degree, Hannah independently navigated the MD, DO, and MD/PhD admissions processes, earning acceptances to 8 of the 20 programs she applied to. Hannah is eager to use her extensive experience as an award-winning teaching assistant, pre-medical coach, and post-bac fellowship admissions reviewer to help students present their unique stories with clarity and impact.

Sophie is a medical student at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated in three years with a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and has previously worked as a professional writer and editor at a St. Louis publishing company. Sophie spent two gap years working at a medical device startup and as a medical assistant, and is passionate about writing in medicine and supporting applicants in becoming effective communicators and developing a unique narrative.

Irving Barrera is a fourth-year medical student at Harvard Medical School in the Pathways program, where he is preparing to apply into neurology residency. Before medical school, he spent three years as a research associate at the Broad Institute and volunteering at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Irving's path into medicine was shaped by his experience applying as both an international and non-traditional student, and he understands firsthand how challenging the process can feel when your background does not fit the conventional mold. He was fortunate to receive acceptances and merit scholarships from multiple medical schools, and he credits much of that success to the mentors who helped him translate his story onto the page. Teaching and mentorship have been central throughout his path. Irving has reviewed personal statements and application materials for a range of premedical students, tutors for USMLE Step 1, and has mentored students navigating the medical school application process from a variety of backgrounds. His goal in working with applicants is to help them build the strongest possible narrative and present the most authentic, compelling version of themselves on their application.

Lia is a medical student at Duke University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, she earned a Bachelor and Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Johns Hopkins University. She is passionate about working with aspiring medical students, helping them think about their "why medicine" and having their passions shine through their conversations and writing.

Leah is a medical student in the Pathways MD Program at Harvard Medical School. She earned her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, where she was a student advisor, teaching assistant, and resident assistant. Leah was a "non-traditional" medical school applicant, taking two gap years before matriculating, including a year as a Fulbright research grantee studying refugee health and health systems in Bergen, Norway. Leah is passionate about helping aspiring medical students explore their unique interests, craft compelling applications, and navigate the application process with confidence and clarity.

Philip is an MD-PhD student at the University of Michigan. He is completing his PhD in Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems, where his research utilizes methods from sociology and science and technology studies to examine emergent technologies in medical education and primary care. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Philip graduated from the University of South Florida in 2019 with a bachelor's in music and chemistry. Philip has guided many students through successful MD and MD-PhD application processes. Drawing on his experiences in the arts and social sciences, he emphasizes the value of applications that bring out applicants' most authentic selves and tell compelling narratives.

Lucia is a medical student in the Pathways Program at Harvard Medical School. She received a BA in Neuroscience and English from Bowdoin College. Lucia was awarded Bowdoin’s Munno Neuroscience Research Prize for her senior honors thesis on using Artificial Intelligence to understand sex-specific patterns in behavioral neuroscience. Lucia also was captain of her rowing team and a two-time ACRA All-American rower. During her two gap years, Lucia worked full-time at an adolescent residential psychiatric facility. At this time, Lucia also pursued research projects on increasing pediatric psychiatric care access and pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndromes. Lucia greatly enjoys supporting applicants through the medical school admissions process, and knows how stressful the process can be. She hopes to help each applicant communicate their unique story.

Jonah is a senior medical student at NYU—and he was accepted into 11 other top US medical schools, including Johns Hopkins and Duke. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Biology. At NYU, he is deeply involved in surgical oncology research and health equity initiatives. Jonah has been tutoring and mentoring students for several years, working with learners from high school through medical school. His expertise spans biology, chemistry, physics, and MCAT preparation, and he has a particular passion for guiding pre-med and medical students through the complexities of medical school applications and career planning.

Manu is a medical student in the Pathways MD program at Harvard Medical School. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a double major in Bioengineering and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, where he was a Stamps Scholar. After graduation, he deferred medical school admission to complete a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in New Taipei City, Taiwan. In addition to Harvard, Manu was accepted to MD programs at Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Yale, Weill Cornell, Duke, Mt. Sinai, and Vanderbilt. Manu is excited to support aspiring medical students in crafting stories from their unique personal and professional experiences throughout the application process.

He graduated early from Johns Hopkins University, studying molecular and cellular biology and bioethics while playing linebacker for the varsity football team. His research background includes experiences in translational and clinical breast oncology and clinical neurology research. Thomas also founded and led an impactful non-profit to empower students from across Baltimore to thrive. His academic and leadership experiences helped him excel in the medical school application process, where he earned interviews and acceptances from a variety of top MD programs, including Columbia, Vanderbilt, and Mount Sinai. Thomas’s team-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and passion for mentoring enable him to provide thoughtful, individualized coaching and support to applicants from a wide range of backgrounds.

Tawny is a second year medical student at Harvard Medical School interested in neurosurgery. She graduated from Tufts University in 2023 with a BS in Biopsychology and spent her gap years conducting neurotrauma research at Massachusetts General Hospital, working as an Emergency Department Technician at Lowell General Hospital, and coaching high school soccer through Boston Scores. Tawny has multiple published manuscripts and had traveled the country to present at national conferences. Outside of medicine, she loves hiking, watching movies, and working on her fiction novel. She's helped guide students through the application process, with her 2025 mentees attaining acceptances at T10 medical schools. Tawny absolutely loves helping students with their medical school applications, and is eager to meet new future doctors.

Cheryl is in the MD program at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. She is an Admissions Ambassador at Feinberg and a student representative on the Admissions Diversity Committee. Cheryl was also accepted to 10 other MD programs in the US, and she is passionate about mentoring applicants and guiding them through their journey into medicine.

Alvina Liang is a fourth-year medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine with a focus on health equity, medical education, and mentorship. She previously worked as an MCAT tutor during her gap year and now mentors premedical students through the Social Mission Committee, where she serves as co-President. In this role, she oversees over 100 student volunteers across six subcommittees focused on curriculum reform, service, and community partnerships. She also mentors two undergraduate students on health literacy research projects, which have led to multiple abstract presentations and submitted manuscripts.

Sid is currently a medical student at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine on a merit scholarship. He graduated from Wake Forest University, as a Stamps scholar, with a double major in Biochemistry and Spanish. Before starting his MD, Sid took one gap year to work on clinical research in sleep medicine and complete a second service term with Public Health AmeriCorps, for which he won the NC Governor’s Service Medallion. Aside from academics, Sid is incredibly invested in health equity and language access, with extensive experience working in community health settings. In addition to Feinberg, Sid was accepted to Vanderbilt and UT Southwestern among several other MD programs. Ultimately, Sid is very passionate about mentoring aspiring medical students throughout the admissions process and is committed to helping them achieve their full potential.

Adithya is an MD candidate at Baylor College of Medicine, where he attends on a full-ride scholarship. He graduated as a University Scholar from Baylor University, studying Neuroscience and Biology. Adithya currently holds lab positions at both MD Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine, focusing on neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders. Beyond his academic pursuits, Adithya enjoys connecting and mentoring students to help them present their authentic selves to admissions committees.

Shani is a medical student at UMass Chan Medical School and earned her B.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University. Throughout her undergraduate and medical education, she has been actively involved in leadership, mentorship, service, and research initiatives and has been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors along the way. Joseph is a is a fourth-year medical student at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Tanishk is currently a fourth-year medical student enrolled in a dual degree BS/MD program in affiliation with the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine. He has over 7 years of experience with the college and medical program admissions process, primarily in essay writing and interview techniques. Using these techniques himself, Tanishk has gotten into all four of the combined medical programs he applied to as a high school senior, along with admission to highly ranked universities. He has helped over 50 students gain admission to some of the most selective BS/MD programs in the country, including prestigious universities such as Brown, Stanford, NYU, University of Pennsylvania, Yale, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, and many more. He enjoys helping students navigate what can be a stressful process to ensure that his students find success in these competitive admissions processes.

Sheilan Pouri is a first-year medical student at Nova Southeastern University - College of Osteopathic Medicine. As an admissions ambassador and an extrovert, she enjoys connecting with prospective students and sharing all that South Florida and NSU have to offer.
