How to approach this question
This panel interview question tests how you balance results against fairness and team morale, when your best player is also the one who skips the work everyone else does. Before deciding, talk to the player privately and ask why he has missed practice, since a job or a family duty would change how you see it. Name the teammates' interests too: they've shown up all season and are watching what commitment earns. Weigh starting him, benching him, or a middle path such as bringing him on later in the game. Land on a clear decision and explain how you'd tell the team, because the way you communicate it will shape the team's culture well beyond one final.
