How to approach this question
This panel interview question tests whether you understand what disclosure does and doesn't fix in a conflict of interest. Start with what disclosure achieves, which is giving others the chance to weigh your judgment and decide whether to trust it. Then consider its limits, such as when the people informed have no real choice, when the stakes are high, or when bias affects you without your noticing. Use a concrete example from work, school or volunteering to show where disclosure is enough and where stepping aside or removing the conflict is better. Take a clear position and explain the principle behind it.
