How to approach this question
This panel interview question tests whether you can weigh physicians' rights as workers against their duty to patients who can't wait. Name the stakeholders: patients who need care during a strike, physicians facing conditions they find unsafe or unfair, other health care staff, and a public that funds and depends on the health system. Separate the reasons physicians might strike, since protesting unsafe staffing on patients' behalf is different from a dispute only about pay. Consider what limits could make a strike acceptable, such as protecting care that can't be delayed, giving notice, and trying other options first. Weigh the short-term harm to patients against the long-term harm of a system that never improves. Then take a clear position with your conditions, and acknowledge the strongest argument against it.
